The S Pen, which allows intuitive pen input, has been significantly improved compared to its predecessor and offers more features and a more authentic typing experience: With its high sensitivity of 2048 pressure levels, the S Pen captures the slightest nuances and thus enables filigree writing and drawing. Write speed, pressure and input angle to the display affect the stroke width and transport the personal writing style into the digital world.

The S Pen can also be used to select, cut and save content. At the press of a button, users can access the quick access menu "S Pen Commands". From here, for example, the new "Smart Select" function is accessible. It allows users to mark, compose and share text or images with the S Pen. For the first time, the S Pen can also be used similar to a computer mouse, press information, for example, to select several photos in the gallery. All you have to do is drag the S Pen over the elements you want to select while holding down the key. In addition to the pen and virtual keyboard, users can capture analog documents, flip boards, or boards with the Photo Notepad feature, and convert their content into an editable format. Users can rearrange picture elements, edit written words, or add handwritten notes to the photographed image.

In multi-window mode, users can choose between full screen, split screen, and pop-up windows and use several apps in parallel. To change the size and position of the apps, a swipe gesture is enough. A quad-core processor with 2.7 GHz clocking ensures smooth execution of sophisticated apps. With the adaptive fast charge function, the premium device charges the battery at 50% charge level in about 30 minutes to 50 percent, in less than 100 minutes even completely full, so that the Galaxy Note 4 in a short time is ready for use again. The Galaxy Note 4 is not only suitable for taking photographic notes, but also for Oscar-mature self-portraits. The 3.7-megapixel front camera offers, among other things, a "group selfie" mode with 120-degree shooting angle, which allows self-portraits even in larger groups. Shaky photos in dim light counteract the 16-megapixel resolution main camera by means of an optical image stabilizer.
