Follow the caution and note before reading this Samsung HW-F450 Manual.  Be sure to familiarize yourself with the safety instructions before using this Samsung HW-F450. If a problem occurs, check the troubleshooting section, see page 22. You can use the wall bracket to mount this unit on a wall. Installation on a vertical wall only. For installation, avoid a location with high temperature or humidity or a wall that can not support the weight of the assembly. Check the wall strength. If the wall is not strong enough to support the appliance, reinforce the wall or install the appliance on the different wall that can support the weight of the unit. Purchase and use these screws or molly suitable for the type of wall you have (plaster, ironing board, etc.) in wood, etc. If possible, fix the support screws in half-timbering. Connect the cables of the unit to external devices before installing it on the wall. Make sure the unit is turned off and unplugged before installing. Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock.

The ID link subwoofer is preset at the factory and the main unit and subwoofer should connect (wirelessly) automatically when the unit is turned on. If the link indicator (standby) does not illuminate when the main LINK unit and subwoofer are enabled, please set the ID according to the following procedure. Connect the power cords of the main unit and the subwoofer to a wall outlet. Press the SET ID button on the back of the subwoofer with a small pointed object for 5 seconds. The standby indicator turns off and the LED (blue LED) flashes rapidly. While the unit is turned off (standby), press MUTE on the remote control for 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the VFD Display on the main unit. To finalize the link, turn on the main unit while the blue subwoofer LED is blinking. The main unit and the subwoofer are now connected (connected). The connection indicator (blue LED) on the subwoofer is activated. You can enjoy the better sound quality of the wireless subwoofer by selecting the sound effect, See page 19 of this Samsung HW-F450 Manual.

HDMI is the standard digital interface to connect to devices such as televisions, projectors, DVD players, Blu-ray players, set-top box and more. HDMI removes any loss of analog conversion signal, allowing you to enjoy video and sound quality audio as it was created in the digital source. Connect an HDMI cable (not supplied) to the HDMI jack on the back of the product to the HDMI OUT jack on your digital devices. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT jack on the back of the product to the HDMI jack on the TV. The ARC function allows digital audio to output through the HDMI OUT (ARC) port. It can be activated only when the Air channel is connected to a TV that supports the ARC function. Anynet+ must be turned on. This unit is equipped with a digital socket optics and analog audio jack, which gives you two ways to connect it to a TV. Connect the digital input of the main unit to the OPTICAL OUT Source Device of your TV. Or connect AUX IN (Audio) to the main unit for the AUDIO output of your TV Source device. Be sure to match the connector colors.

Samsung may offer system firmware upgrades to the Air Surround crystal track in the future. Got an upgrade, you can upgrade the firmware by connecting a USB flash drive with the firmware update stored on it to the USB port on your Air Channel. Note that if there are multiple upgrade files, you must load the USB key individually and use them to update the firmware one at a time.
