This Samsung ML-2165W Manual guide provides information about installation, advanced configuration, operation, and troubleshooting on different operating system environments. The following warnings and precautions are included to prevent hazards to you and others and to prevent possible damage to your machine. A locally connected computer is a machine directly connected to your computer via the cable. If your computer is connected to a network, skip the following steps below and move from the driver installation of the connected device to a network (see Advanced Guide). If you are a Macintosh or Linux OS user, refer to "Installing the Software" on page 82 of this Samsung ML-2165W Manual. The installation window in this Guide may differ depending on the machine and the interface being used. Select Custom Install lets you choose which programs to install. Use only a USB cable not exceeding 3 meters (118 inches). Make sure the machine is connected to your computer and turned on. If the "New Hardware Found" wizard appears during the installation process, click Cancel to close the window. Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive. The software CD must run automatically and an installation window will appear.

Another chapter provides information on how to load the print media into your machine. Using printed media that does not meet these specifications may cause problems or require repairs. These repairs are not covered by Samsung's warranty or service agreements. Be careful not to use inkjet photo paper with this machine. It could cause damage to the machine. Using flammable printed media can cause a fire. Designated use of print media (see "Print media specifications" on page 61of this Samsung ML-2165W Manual). Use of flammable materials or foreign materials left in the printer may cause the unit to overheat and, in rare cases, may cause a fire. If you do not adjust the guide, it may cause the paper to register, tilt the image, or jam the paper. 

To purchase service parts, contact the source where you purchased the machine. Replacement of maintenance parts can be performed only by an authorized service provider, distributor or retailer where you purchased the machine. The warranty does not cover the replacement of any maintenance parts once it has reached its "average" performance. Maintenance parts are replaced at regular intervals to avoid print quality and paper feed problems resulting from worn parts, see table below. Whose aim is to keep your machine in top working condition. The maintenance parts listed below must be replaced when the lifetime of each component has been met.
